A Little Bit About Me... My name is Rachel Cuesta. I am a 22 year old Project Administrator for a construction company and I took up running about a year ago as a way to become healthier and to get into shape. Little did I know the passion that grow inside of me for this new found hobby. I have competed in about 10 races and in May I completed my first half marathon! At the start of the new year, I promised myself that I would find a way to give back to the less fortunate; the ones that I believe need it most. St. Jude Children's Hospital has always been one of my favorite charities. The fact that they accept every sick patient, and take care of their families as well is absolutely amazing! I decided that organizing and directing my very own race to raise money and awareness about this charity would really make a difference in the community, and leave an impact on every person that was involved. I knew when started this event that it would be difficult, but I am always up for a challenge! So far, I have been amazed at the number of people willing to donate their time, effort, and money to this event; I am beyond grateful. I am still in the process of looking for more sponsors who can donate refreshments, gift certificates, money, etc. and any volunteers that are able to offer their time. The littlest of contributions can go a long way!
